Dyson Logistics is an Australian-owned international freight forwarder and customs brokerage helping Australian businesses connect with the world through reliable, personalised logistics solutions.
The company was established by Kane Dyson, continuing a family legacy that began with his father, James D. Dyson, who spent decades in the Australian customs and freight industry. Growing up around the industry gave Kane a firsthand appreciation of what great freight forwarding looks like—not just moving cargo, but building trusted relationships and solving problems for customers.
We work with Australian importers and exporters of all sizes, providing international sea freight, air freight, customs clearance, warehousing and transport solutions. Our focus is not simply on moving cargo from A to B, but on helping our customers navigate the complexity of international trade with confidence.

1. What inspired the vision behind Dyson Logistics and this customer-first approach?
Dyson Logistics was founded on the belief that freight forwarding should be personal. As the industry has become increasingly consolidated and automated, many businesses have found themselves dealing with call centres, changing contacts and transactional service.
We wanted to take a different approach.
Our vision has always been to build long-term partnerships where customers have a dedicated team that understands their products, supply chains and business goals. Freight isn't just about containers and paperwork—it directly impacts inventory, cash flow, customer satisfaction and growth. When you understand that, you naturally become more than a service provider.
2. What does being a "true logistics partner" mean to you in practice?
For us, it means being involved before problems occur, not simply reacting once they happen.
We take the time to understand how each client's business operates so we can provide advice, identify risks and help them make informed decisions. Whether it's navigating customs requirements, planning around peak seasons, managing supply chain disruptions or finding more efficient freight solutions, we see ourselves as an extension of our customers' team.

3. How do you build long-term relationships with your clients and overseas partners?
Relationships are built on consistency, communication and trust.
We believe in being transparent, responding quickly and always following through on our commitments. The same approach applies to our overseas partners. Strong communication, mutual respect and shared values allow us to deliver a consistent experience regardless of where freight is moving around the world.
Many of our client and agent relationships have lasted for years because they're built on genuine partnerships rather than transactions.

5. Is there a memorable success story or customer experience that reflects your company's values?
Rather than one individual shipment, we're most proud of the long-term relationships we've built with customers who have trusted us for many years.
Some of these businesses have grown significantly alongside us, and we've been there to support them through changing markets, supply chain disruptions and evolving international trade requirements. Seeing our customers succeed—and knowing we've played a small part in that journey—is one of the most rewarding aspects of what we do.
It's a reminder that logistics is ultimately about people, not just freight.
6. What are your goals and vision for Dyson Logistics over the next few years?
Our goal is to continue growing sustainably while staying true to what has always made Dyson Logistics different.
We'll continue investing in technology that improves visibility and efficiency, but never at the expense of personalised service. We want to strengthen our international partnerships, expand the value we provide to Australian importers and exporters, and continue building a business that people enjoy working with—whether they're customers, overseas partners or our own team.
As global supply chains continue to evolve, we see our role as helping businesses navigate that complexity with confidence, backed by trusted advice and genuine partnerships.
